Airbnb and holiday-let listing videos from $49
An Airbnb listing video from RocketReel costs $49 for 30 seconds ($89 for the 90-second Property Showcase, enabled by account), AUD, GST inclusive, and is made from your listing photographs in about 12 minutes with a narration written from the photographs, music and your host card, by a Brisbane-based Queensland company. Rates, minimum stays and the booking link are not spoken in the video; they go in the caption beside it. Airbnb’s own listing page takes photographs rather than uploaded video, so this page also sets out truthfully where the video can be posted: your booking page, reels, YouTube and guest messages.
Where an Airbnb video can go
Platform behaviour as documented on 16 October 2026; check the platform’s current help pages before a campaign.
| Place | Takes an uploaded video? | What to do with the RocketReel file |
|---|---|---|
| Airbnb listing page (homes) | No — the listing editor builds a photo tour from photographs | Mention the video in your description only where Airbnb’s rules allow; send the link in guest messages and pre-arrival emails |
| Instagram and Facebook reels / stories | Yes — aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 9:16; minimum 30 fps; minimum 720 px | Order 9:16; the finished file meets those requirements |
| YouTube and your direct-booking website | Yes | Order 16:9; embed it beside the booking calendar |
| Guest messages and email | Links | Share the review link or host the file on your site |

What the narration says for a short-stay
The script is written from the photographs and the property details, the same way as for a sale listing: the setting, the rooms that photograph best, the outdoor space and the location, closing on your card. Because it describes the place rather than a transaction, it already reads like a stay for a hinterland cabin or a beach house (listen to the Tamborine Mountain example below). It is not a bespoke guest script: nightly rates, minimum stays, house rules and the booking link are not spoken and never invented, so put them in the caption and on your booking page beside the video. Noosa, the Gold Coast and Byron Bay
Short-stay markets along the coast have the highest photography standards and the thinnest margins between listings. A video on your own booking page and your social accounts is the differentiator most hosts do not have, and because it is made from photographs the price is the same in Noosa Heads, Burleigh and Bangalow. A real portrait example from the hinterland
The hinterland narration
The opening sentences already read like a stay. The closing line is a sale-style invitation; the booking call to action goes in the caption beside the video. From the Verandah House Country Estate, Tambourine Mountain — 30s portrait reel narration: “Escape to Tamborine Mountain's coveted hinterland, where Verandah House Country Estate offers an intimate, absolutely stunning retreat. Wake to crisp rainforest air, unwind on gracious verandahs, and savour wineries, cafes, Gallery Walk, and national parks moments away.” Watch more property video examples →
Airbnb listing video questions
- Can I upload a video to my Airbnb listing?
- Not as a listing asset. Airbnb’s listing editor for homes builds a photo tour from photographs; it does not take an uploaded video file (Airbnb Help Center, “Taking great photos of your listing”, checked 16 October 2026). Host the video on your own direct-booking page, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube and send guests the link in your messages and pre-arrival emails.
- How much does an Airbnb listing video cost?
- $49 for a 30-second video, $89 for the 90-second Property Showcase (enabled by account), AUD, GST inclusive; a 15-second social reel can be added to either for $15.
- What does the narration of a short-stay video say?
- It is a property narration written from your photographs and the details you enter (location, bedrooms, bathrooms, parking, features): the setting, the standout rooms, the outdoor space and the surroundings, closing on your card. It is not a bespoke guest script: it does not quote nightly rates, minimum stays or a “book now” line, and it may close with an invitation to see the property. Put the booking link, rates and house rules in the caption and on your booking page beside the video.
- Do you film the property?
- No. RocketReel works only from the photographs you upload, so a Noosa beach house, a Tamborine Mountain cabin and a Byron hinterland villa are all made the same way, with no travel.
- Which format should a host order?
- Choose 9:16 portrait for Instagram and Facebook reels and stories, or 16:9 landscape for YouTube and your own website. Both come from the same brief.
